Gematriah
1. The numerical value of the Hebrew word echad (one) is thirteen, which is equivalent to the Hebrew word for "love," ahavah.
2. The word for God, Adonai, has the number value of 26.  The twenty-sixth letter of the Torah is an aleph.
3. The number 7 is the perfect number, the number of completion.
4. The number 8 signifies the eternal.
5. The number value of echad, Hebrew for "one," is 13.  The numerical value of ahavah, "love," is also 13.
6. The total number of letters contained in a word reveals something about the word itself.  Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob have a total of thirteen letters in them (in Hebrew).  Sarah, Rebekkah, Rachel and Leah, their wives, also have thirteen letters.  The thirteen is the gematriah of the Hebrew word one.  Thirteen plus thirteen equals twenty-six, the numerical value of "Adonai," God's Holy Name.  (Could it be that the Adonai (26) is the balance of the masculine (13) and feminine (13)).
